1. Manager
We are seeking a responsible, proactive, organized, detail-oriented person to provide overall leadership and direction in managing SPEF’s fundraising and program efforts.
Requirements:
- Experience in leadership, event planning, fundraising, communications, as well as financial and office management.
- Managing a diverse staff, setting expectations, reviewing performance and coaching for optimal results.
- Demonstrated ability in working well with various audiences including, but not limited to, Board members, volunteers and community and school groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Must have excellent skills in Word, Outlook and Excel.
- SAGE, Peachtree and Aeries experience is a PLUS!
- College degree desirable.
Job Description:
- Provide day-to-day supervision to staff members.
- Direct the effective operations of the office through the development and implementation of policies and practices.
- Develop, implement, manage, and support annual fundraising efforts, as well as analyzing and recommending programs to the Board of Directors.
- Provide immediate and long-term strategic direction and tactical support to optimize profits.
- Manage the maintenance of donor information.
- Direct the development, maintenance and execution of marketing materials.
- Develop, manage, support, and help foster donor relationships.
- Provide monthly reports and updates to the President and other Board of Directors.
- Promote and support active and broad participation by Board of Directors and volunteers.
Salary range: $42,000 - $52,000, plus performance bonus
2. Program Co-ordinator
SPEF is looking for a team player who is responsible, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented to provide office assistance in fundraising and program efforts for an educational foundation.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Experience in event planning and fundraising
- Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability in working well with various audiences including, but not limited to, Board members, volunteers and community, and school groups
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Must have excellent skills in Word, Outlook and Excel
- SAGE, Peachtree, AuctionPay, and Aeries experience is a PLUS
Job Description:
- Support all fundraising activities as needed including annual fundraising efforts, donor receptions and events, and grant development.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate Summer School and After-School Enrichment classes, in collaboration with SPEF board committees and in partnership with SPUSD.
- Establish and maintain student records and course schedules for summer school and after school programs.
- Oversee documentation and reconciliation of payments and pledges for fundraising efforts.
- Prepare lists of all previous year for annual acknowledgement ad.
- Produce donor acknowledgement letters.
- Maintain accurate and timely donor information.
- Provide day-to-day support to staff members and Board Members.
- Oversee and coordinate office assistance and volunteer assignments.
- Provide support for other projects and initiatives as needed.
Salary range: $35,000 - $40,000, bonus commensurate with performance
3. Administrative Assistant

Job Description:
- Provide day-to-day support to staff members and Board Members.
- Assist and support annual fundraising efforts and various programs.
- Assist with the maintenance of donor information.
- Assist with the development, maintenance and execution of all marketing materials.
- Prepare, obtain translations, and mail annual community mailings.
- Generate donor acknowledgements and execute other correspondence as needed.
- Coordinate direct mail activities.
- Coordinate production and distribution of marketing materials.
- Coordinate donor billing and installment plans.
- Help as necessary with other new and current special events and fundraising activities.
- Oversee and coordinate office assistance and volunteer assignments.
- Preserve records and files.
Salary range: $15/hour
